The 8th Leadership transition election conference and the first membership meeting of the Nanhai District Textile Industry Association in Foshan, Guangdong were recently held in Xiqiao. The event unveiled three key initiatives—industry collaboration programs, a green intelligent manufacturing service platform, and a cross-regional denim industry alliance—to support the local textile sector in achieving a 20-billion-yuan industrial cluster. 

The Nanhai District Textile Industry Association of Foshan was established in 1996, rooted in Xiqiao and serving the entire district. It currently has over 400 member enterprises, covering the full industrial chain from weaving and dyeing to finishing and apparel manufacturing. 

Three key initiatives were unveiled at the meeting. First, the "Initiative for Building a Healthy Ecosystem in Nanhai's Textile Industry" was released, aiming to drive stable and sustainable industry growth through win-win development. The initiative promotes strengthening regional brands such as "Xiqiao Fabrics" and "Xiqiao Denim," encourages enterprises to accelerate digital and intelligent transformation and brand building, reinforces social responsibility and environmental awareness, advocates fair competition based on quality and value, and fosters a sustainable, healthy industrial ecosystem. Second, the "Nanhai Textile Green Intelligent Manufacturing Service Platform" was launched, accompanied by the release of Xiqiao Town’s customized environmental protection plans for each enterprise. Centered on the principles of “one file per company, one strategy per company, one support per company,” the platform conducts comprehensive environmental assessments, promoting a shift toward scientific and refined governance models that enable targeted, precise solutions for each enterprise’s environmental challenges. Third, the "Guangdong Denim Apparel and Fabric Industry Collaborative Development Alliance" was initiated, led by the Guangdong Provincial Textile Association and uniting four major denim clusters—Xiqiao in Nanhai, Jun'an in Shunde, Xintang in Guangzhou, and Dachong in Zhongshan—to integrate scattered production capacities into a coordinated industrial chain and jointly expand into domestic and international markets.
